In my previous post on essential elements for websites I talked about some essential pages and tools your website needs. You want your site to draw traffic, engage your visitors, and turn those visitors in to customers, clients, and raving fans. It doesn't happen automatically as soon as you hit publish - it takes thought, planning, and some extra hard work but it's worth it.
Making sure…

It’s a frequent issue that comes up whenever I’m talking with someone about their website. There is so much to think about when getting your website going that it’s hard to keep up. It’s easy - really easy - to get swamped in the weeds of the fine-grain details and overlook elements that are essential to your site being successful. So if you’re not sure what’s missing from your site take note of the essentials below and make sure you’ve got them implemented. It’s your virtual reputation.…

Lisa DiDonato said… Hi Rob,
Thank you for the welcome. I've looked around this forum but I'm still learning the site building jargon! Sounds like a lot of advice that I need but first I need to know the terminology! :) The site, you reference, Pourgirlsoaps.com, has gone by the wayside but was a stepping stone to my new site. www.easy-home-made.com. I've built it through SBI and have enjoyed the learning process.
The next step in my journey is to find strong links back to my site and that is my main focus. I've vaguely perused your blog and already gotten some great ideas! Incorporating a blog etc...
I look forward to a couple of weeks off of my j.o.b. to study and get over this next hump.
Sincerely, Lisa

Tommy Eldridge said… Hello Rob,
I got your name from Jeff Long. I have a Word Press site that has been up for almost 2 years now. www.privatepilotinsider.com. I had about 10 to 15 pages, 70+ post and God knows how many pictures and videos. Right around new years all of this cease to exist. I can't post, change, delete or add anything. My web host says he's too busy to help. Have you heard of this or know anything about it? You can contact me directly at eldr437@bellsouth.net
Thank you for any feed back,
Tommy Eldridge
Stuart Campbell said… Rob, Thanks for the contact. I will definitely let you know if I need some help. I am just checking the groups out right now trying to get acclimated. I hope to add value as well as gain insights as I progress in this community.
Rich Berning said… Thanks for the greeting, Rob! I'm really happy to find a group of people that I nearly immediately felt a connection. Why do this journey alone when you can work as a group and hopefully succeed even more spectacularly?! Besides, I have found the solopreneur journey to be a lonely one sometimes (especially building an online business as I'm trying to do), so being part of a community will be healthy for me.
Erin Casey said… Hi Rob,
I saw that you recently joined the Write it Forward, Real Success and Profit for Writers group. Welcome!
The group's discussion forum is packed with ideas, and is great place to get feedback on your work, ideas and questions. Jump into the conversations and let us know how we can help you reach your writing goals.
Additionally, we frequently have questions about websites - I know you have a lot of expertise to offer in that arena. We're glad you're here!
Best,
Erin Casey
